Illustration of Mexican intellectual Carlos Monsivais for the LA Times Book Review. Thought it came out good and really liking this color palette of late.
Since it's been about 100 degrees here for the past 2 weeks, I thought I'd do a quick 'winter adventure' illustration. Other random stuff include a military truck TOC illustration and a quick portrait of John C. Reilly, which I didn't like enough to finish but I had fun with his hair....

You nailed both likenesses. I could pick out that John C. Reilly from a mile away. The hair does look like it was fun to draw.
