David Bowie Experiment


Experimenting a little bit here with my style. Killing the outlines around the figure and just letting the flat color shapes do the work instead of my usual 'linework overkill' (although I'm quite fond of overkilling linework).

Working on Las Vegas Weekly and Family Circle commissions at the moment. Will be able to post once published...

Cool man. I like this approach. It reminds me of an unfinished silkscreen so it feels sort of classical. Not sure if that makes sense but I dig.

Looks awesome...dropping the outline is definitely a step in the right direction, in my opinion.

Thanks mike. Will need to work on another illustration in this style, something more complicated, to see how it really works.
